Liu Bao (meaning “Six Castle”) tea is categorized as a hei cha (dark/“black” tea); a wet-pile, post-fermented

Chinese tea of medium to large-sized leaf that is fully oxidized. 

Liu Bao tea has over a 1,500 year history and originated in Liubao Xiang Township, Changwu County, Wuzhou; Guangxi Province, China.  Liu Bao Hei Cha was created ~ 30 years prior to Pu’erh Hei Cha.

During the reign of Emperor Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, Liu Bao was awarded as one of the top 10 most famous teas in China; and was mainly a yearly tribute tea to the Emperors and their royal families.   

Liu Bao tea is cultivated in Guangxi Province, the same region as the Guilin Mountain area (acknowledged

as one of the “7 Natural Wonders of Asia”), and the internationally famous town of Bama (named the “Longevity Village of China”; a village with over 81 centenarians). 

Maosheng (meaning “Rich Sage”) Tea Company is located in Wuzhou, Guangxi Province, China.

Maosheng Tea Co. produces teas from high-mountain old tea trees, as well as high-quality teas    

from their 1,500 acre tea farm (of which, 500 acres are certified organic).

Maosheng Tea Co., along with the Wu Healing Center & US-China Chan Cultural Exchange Association,

are generously offering this rare, and wonderful tea as a fundraiser:

For each tea purchased, 100% of the sale will be donated to the Emerson Hospital “Integrative Health and Wellness Center – Cancer Program (a non-profit charity).  The donation will be given specifically to help provide wellness classes for cancer patients in need.

Emerson Hospital is a private, non-profit, acute care medical center founded in 1911.  Emerson's Integrative Health & Wellness Center in Concord, Massachusetts “provides a place where the community can participate in classes aimed at keeping them healthy”.
