每周一及周五，由居住在美国康州的犹太牧师Donna老师，为大家介绍犹太人的圣经。
本群每月一书，上课时间由授课老师决定。本月及下月，邀来Donna老师为大家介绍圣经，
时间: 2016年5、6月，每周一、五晚中国时间晚上8 pm-9：30pm

课程介绍：
由有23年犹太教堂领圣人资格的Donna Gordon牧师，专门为中美禅学院开设的，面向中国佛教徒及禅、道修行人，介绍基于希伯来原版《圣经》教义的，基督教核心教义。该课程为公益课程，欢迎义工奉献。全程英文讲课，由QQ自动英语翻译协助。
二、Shalom(你好)
Donna Gordon：First a little Hebrew word.
（FuFeng 扶风 2：第一个希伯来语的词。）
The word isShalom. Shalom is the Hebrew word forHello, Goodbye, and peace.
（美国-清辞：第一个词是Shalom。是你好，再见和和平的意思。）
The deepermeaning of shalom means wholeness or being complete.
（美国-清辞：Shalom更深一层的意思是完整，一体）。
So when Jewssay to another Jew how are you? They areasking if the other person feels that their inner peace is whole and complete.
（美国-清辞：当犹太人互问你好吗时，他们在问对方是否感到了内在的安静和完整。）
So, on thisfirst day of our class about the Jewish Bible, I hope that your inner peace iswhole and complete!

Donna Gordon：Today’s lesson will be an introduction tothe Hebrew Bible and sacred scriptures.

Donna Gordon：Yes, let's explore for a moment theconcept of completeness in the root word Shalom.
（美国-清辞：好，让我们来探讨一下completeness。）
上海--陈福美：内在平静是种啥感觉？
Donna Gordon：For example the same root letters in theshalom are used for the verb to pay for something.
（美国-清辞：Shalom的根源词也用在动词“付出”里面。）
The verb topay for something is very similar to the same letters in the word Shalom.
（美国-清辞：“为得到某样东西而付出”的动词和Shalom这个词很相似。）
A persongoes into a store. He picks sometihingup and says that he wants an item.
（美国-清辞：一个人去商店，说他想买某样东西。）
上海--陈福美：啥根源词？
美国-清辞：根源词是英语等体系里的词根。
FuFeng 扶风 2：根源词是英语单词的特色。
美国-清辞：很多词有同一个词根。

FuFeng 扶风 2：有点像中文的偏旁。
Donna Gordon：The person who picks something up at theshop is taking something away from the Shop keeper so the shop keeper is notcomplete anymore.
（美国-清辞：这个人的行为可以被看成是把这个东西从店主那里拿走，所以店主在这个意义上就不完整了。）
FuFeng 扶风 2：购买，是令店主不完整的行为？
Donna Gordon：So now the shop keeper is not complete.He is missing something!
（美国-清辞：店主不完整，因为他缺了这样东西。）
上海--陈福美：We are like shopkeepers.（我们就像店主。)
虚奎--子明：店里东西算作一个人的全部。
Donna Gordon：The customer now has to pay the shopkeeper for the item, so that the shop keeper has a complete transaction.
He isrestored to completeness.
（美国-清辞：顾客因此需要为这样物品支付钱财，这样店主有了一个完整的交易，他就回到了完整。）
上海--陈福美：Always feelsomething is missing.（总感觉缺失了什么。）
Donna Gordon：Yes, we need to feel complete in ourdaily lives. Go within and you will find what you are missing.
（美国-清辞：我们在日常生活中需要感受到完整。看看自己内心，你就会知道你缺乏的是什么。）
Donna Gordon：So the word Shalom is a beautiful worddenoting peace, greetings, and wholeness of the mind body and soul. We are concerned about the welfare of ourfellow person.
（美国-清辞：所以，Shalom这个词是一个优美的词。它代表和平，问候，身体和灵魂的完满。我们关心我们朋友们的幸福。）

Donna Gordon：Yes, Fu Feng, it is very moral. It is a perfect energetic transaction if youthink of it in terms of energy. Veryphilosophical in my opinion.

三、The purpose of this class（这个课的目的）
Donna Gordon：Let's move on, shall we, to the purposeof this class.
（美国-清辞：现在，让我们介绍一下这个课的目的。）
Donna Gordon：My purpose for this class is to notconvince anyone to adopt the Jewish religion as their own, but to show you howanother ancient people have worshipped their God and have kept their traditionsalive for thousands of years.
（美国-清辞：我的目的不是让你们信犹太教，而是展示给你们另一个古老的民族是如何信仰他们的上帝，如何几千年来保持了他们的传统。）
We owe muchof this survival to our sacred book, the Hebrew Bible, which we call the Torah.

Torah meansteaching.
（美国-清辞：Torah是教授的意思。）

希伯来语：תּוֹרָה，英文：Torah 又译托拉。托拉广义上指上帝启示给以色列人的真义，亦指上帝启示人类教导与指引。狭义上指《旧约》的首五卷（犹太人不称旧约），犹太教称为摩西五经（希伯来语：תּוֹרַת־מֹשֶׁה，Torat Moshe），即《创世记》、《出埃及记》、《利未记》、《民数记》和《申命记》。
Donna Gordon：The Torah is only part of the wholeJewish Bible, Fu Feng.(The Torah只是整个犹太圣经中的一部分，扶风。)
四、Jewish prayer（犹太人祈祷文）
Donna Gordon：Before I go on, I would like to offer ashort Jewish prayer, which we recite before every time we begin a new projectand before every joyous occasion.（在开始之前，我想先提供一个简短的犹太人祈祷文，每次要开始一个新的项目和每个欢乐的场合我们都会背诵它。）

This prayeris said at every happy occasion and as we begin something new in our lives.

forsustaining us，

Donna Gordon：Amen is a word we use to end all of ourprayers.
（美国-清辞：阿门这个词是每个祈祷文结束都会说的。）
It meansthat we have faith that what we have just said is the truth.
（美国-清辞：意思是我们相信我们刚说的是真实不虚的。）
五、Donna’s self-introduction(Donna的自我介绍)
Donna Gordon：Let us begin with my personal history andwhat has brought me to this place in my life.

I was borninto a Christian family.
(美国-清辞:我生在一个天主教家庭。)
I alwaysthought about the nature of God even as a child.
（美国-清辞：还是个孩子时，我就经常思考上帝是什么。）

（美国-清辞：Donna, Fufeng asked if you are Jewish.）
Donna Gordon：I became Jewish 35 years ago.
（美国-清辞：我35年前成为了犹太人。）
I wentthrough the Jewish ritual to become Jewish.
（美国-清辞：Donna通过了犹太人的仪式，成为了犹太人。）
上海--陈福美：How to become Jewish?怎么会变成犹太人？

Donna Gordon：Yes, I became Jewish through the ritualof Jewish conversion.
（美国-清辞：是的，Donna是改信犹太教的。）
I continuedmy Jewish studies after marrying my Jewish Husband, and studied at a Jewishclergy school in New York City.
（美国-清辞：我的丈夫是犹太人，嫁给他之后，我继续我的犹太学习。我在纽约的一个犹太人牧师学校学习。）
I became aCertified Cantor, which is a leader in a Jewish synagogue.
（美国-清辞：我成为了一个被认证的Cantor，是在犹太教堂的领导人。）
I justretired after working in the same synagogue for the past 23 years.

Donna Gordon：This is what a cantor learns in school.

Musictheory, history, and everything a university level Music student learns. My Bachelor's degree is in Music Education,so this was not difficult for me.

Too much togo into, but just wanted to give an idea of the amount of study that isrequired of Jewish leaders and clergy.
（美国-清辞：还有很多很多，就不一一列举了。只是想给你们一个感觉，知道要成为犹太教牧师和领导人需要学习的。）
So how am Ihere now studying Buddhism with you all and teaching you about the JewishBible?
（美国-清辞：我为什么现在在这里和你们一起学习佛学，和教授你们犹太圣经呢？）
It isbecause 3 years ago, I started down the road to Enlightenment.
（美国-清辞：因为3年前，我开始走上了开悟的历程。）
宁波-应奇：Clergy, is a goodjob, ha ha.神职人员，是个不错的职业，哈哈。
Donna Gordon：Ying Qi, the clergy is a very good job. Ihelp people every day. I officiate atweddings, funerals, Baby namings, conversions to Judaism, and much more. I counsel people who have problems in theirlives. （应奇，牧师是一个非常好的工作。我每天帮助人们。我主持婚礼，葬礼，孩子的命名，转化成犹太人的仪式，还有很多。当别人生活上有困难时，我是他们的顾问。）
FuFeng 扶风 2：非常震撼，这犹太教的核心教义，竟然是“完整”。
墨明棋妙：我喜欢完整，但没有完整是不是会心神不宁。
Donna Gordon：Fu Feng, the core doctrine in Judaism isThat God is Wholeness, Completeness and Unity in the universe.
（美国-清辞：扶风，犹太教核心教义是上帝是完整，完满，统一的宇宙一体。）
墨明棋妙：不像禅一样随水流。
Donna Gordon：God is the source of all that there is,according to Jews.
（美国-清辞：犹太人认为上帝是一切之源泉。）
宁波-应奇：Well, this job is ajob and a belief, not a split, complete life.（嗯.这个职业既是工作又是信仰，不是分裂的，完整的生活。）
六、God（上帝）
美国-清辞：Donna, can youexplain what you think is God? I think that will be helpful for the students.（Donna，能请你解释下你所认为的上帝是什么吗？我想这对学生们将是有益的。）
Donna Gordon：This is my own belief in God and notnecessarily the "Official" Jewish view...
（美国-清辞：下面是我对上帝的理解。不一定是犹太教的“官方”解释。）

Donna Gordon：My own personal belief is that God is thehighest conscious energetic vibration and source in the universe.

Theconsciousness of the whole universe flows through each and every one of us atall time.

For ourhomework before our next class, I want you to write some thoughts about whatyou think the nature of God is.（课后作业，我想你们写一些你们对上帝的想法。）
Donna Gordon：Stupid笨，蜗牛4, why do you call yourself stupid???（笨，蜗牛，为什么你称自己傻？）

Donna Gordon：I am an old fool also!(我也是一个老傻瓜! )

Donna Gordon：We all need to expand our brains to newconcepts. (我们需要扩大我们的大脑的新概念。)
This classis interesting to Chinese students because it explores new concepts.(这门课对中国学生来说有趣，是因为它探讨了新概念。)

Donna Gordon：We will talk a little about what Ibelieve are the similarities of Jesus and Buddha.（我们将谈一下我所信仰的耶稣和佛陀之间的相似之处。)
